Top 5 Best OLED TV Of 2021

1. LG CX Series OLED TV
2. Sony A8 / A8H OLED
3. LG Gallery Series OLED TV
4. LG C9
5. Sony AG9

If you are looking for a screen with almost perfect contrast, you are in the right place. In the text below you will find the best OLED TVs on the market right now.

In each section, we have tried to select TVs that represent different price levels and with different features. Sizes range from 55 to 65 inches and up. We explain what each model has to offer - and put our finger on any flaws and shortcomings they may have.

1. LG CX Series OLED TV

Can one improve the perfect? The LG CX OLED proves that it is actually possible. This is the sequel to last year's top-ranked LG C9 series , which could also offer incredibly deep black levels, great image quality and LG's usual superior design. Thus, not much has changed with the LG CX, but inside you will find a new a9 Gen 3 processor that further enhances performance and there is still support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. The screen itself is also incredibly thin - only a few millimeters - and yet it has room for four HDMI 2.1 outputs (also with aARC) and an incredibly low signal delay. This is truly a TV that can handle the amazing game consoles that came on the market last winter. A great screen combined with an incredible number of features and formats, and with LG's excellent smart platform webOS, this is undoubtedly one of the best 4K TVs ever created. Where the predecessor was delivered in the formats 55 ", 65" and 77 ", the range is expanded downwards to also include a 48-inch OLED model. At launch, this cost only DKK 11,500, which makes it extra attractive, both in terms of quality and price. Unfortunately, you do not get HDR10 +, but that is also the only thing we can complain about with this excellent TV.

2. Sony A8 / A8H OLED

Finally, Sony has surpassed its own Sony A9G OLED. Their 2020 model A8 / A8H OLED TV has taken everything we love about Sony's premium TV and wrapped it in an affordable model. Get premium OLED image performance with Sony's powerful X1 Ultimate processor, Sony's Pixel Contrast Booster (which gives images more intense highlights) and a new OLED version of the X-Motion Clarity feature that Sony originally developed for its FALD LCD tv. You also get an impressive sound system with a bass system featuring two subwoofers and screen-shaking Acoustic Surface Audio technology. It makes it a pleasure to watch series and movies. The brightness is a bit dim, but if this is not a problem, you can really experience some amazing OLED images here.

3. LG Gallery Series OLED TV

Are you looking for a beautiful OLED TV that looks enchanting in the living room? The LG Gallery Series OLED (or LG GX) meets that challenge. Although you get the same screen and processor as on the LG CX OLED, a few key features are different. For example, if you want to use it as a wall-mounted TV, it requires a professional installer to do the job to make it look good with hidden cables. Note that Samsung's The Frame TV has the same design approach, but that it's a little easier to install, thanks to the OneConnect box. However, the image of the Samsung model cannot cope with the same level as the LG Gallery Series' masterful OLED images. GX OLED has built-in Dolby Atmos speakers and eARC support, all wrapped in a slim 5 mm profile. The sound may seem a bit unbalanced at times, but if you are looking for something elegant where you do not have to compromise on picture quality, this may be the OLED TV for you.

4. LG C9

It is not difficult to recommend the LG C9. The successor to the C8, which topped our list last year, continues LG's triumph, and is simply the best OLED TV in this price range. With its TVs, LG has been at the forefront of OLED technology - which is not so strange, as it is LG that manufactures the panels that sit in rival models at Sony, Panasonic and the rest of the manufacturers. But what the C9 really does is give you a top quality OLED picture at a more attractive price than most other OLED models on the market, which means that LG OLED TVs have now finally become available to a wide group of consumers. The combination that makes this model so fascinating is a front image and a huge wealth of functionality and formats - all woven together by LG's amazing webOS smart platform - this is without a doubt one of the best 4K TVs ever made. There are no major differences between last year's model and its predecessor, but the fact that you now get a 2nd generation α9 processor means that image processing has moved up to the top nvieau. Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos are also supported, but not HDR10 +. Like other OLED TVs, the C9 does not quite match the brightness of the very best LCD TVs (the C9 handles 780 nits), but compensates elegantly with a strong and energetic picture. And even though the C9 lacks the 4.2 channels of sound that the E9 has - and also the low price of the B9 - the model still has a grip on getting delicious sound out of the device. Yes, there are more expensive OLED TVs on the market, but if you are looking for a top model that is affordable, then this is the C9 TV you are looking for. You will probably be able to find it at a reasonable price in the stores.

5. Sony AG9

Why buy AG9? This 2019 model is extremely good for upscaling. SD and HD images look completely nuanced and detailed - while the OLED panel manages to deliver incredible color and contrast performance. The sound is also a highlight, as Sony gives you Acoustic Surface Audio +, technology that allows the sound to come from the image panel itself rather than from rear-facing speakers. However, there are a few shortcomings that are worth mentioning. You get Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, but no HDR10 +, which can be a problem, depending on the streaming services and HDR sources you use. AG9, on the other hand, is so-called IMAX Enhanced (a separate certification), which can be interesting if you are looking for this particular standard in picture format and DTS sound mix.
