Best Gaming Laptop 2021
Today, the best gaming laptops have enough iron inside that they almost match gaming desktops and no longer pay for malt. Thanks to high-end components designed for mobile needs, such as Nvidia’s RTX graphics cards and AMD Nav , new Intel Comet Lake processors, and high-speed SSDs , many of the laptops are ready for decent gaming performance.
The quality differences between portable gaming machines and gaming computers are narrowing in recent years. In fact, today’s best gaming laptops are even better than desktops, as their portable form is capable of racing than the best PC gaming. They are also capable of heavy video editing when needed.
So if you’re looking for the right device for a few hours of quality gaming or to prove your skills in the online gaming field, we’ve put together below a list of the best gaming laptops on the market right now. We’ve been testing countless laptops in the delivery of TechRadar for years, so we’ve narrowed down the options for you and listed below the best of the absolute models.
What is a gaming laptop and how does it work?
The gaming industry has made great strides in recent years. In fact, almost half a century has passed since Pong surprised the first gamers and today we are witnessing a real battle between gaming computers and consoles to determine the best platform. If once it was strictly necessary to have a fixed location, today even video games have become pocket-sized, with the Nintendo Switch on one side and the gaming laptop on the other. We are therefore talking about a gaming laptop, a computer that can be used anywhere and therefore allows us to take our favorite video games wherever we go. Unlike a classic laptop, the gaming laptop is characterized by greater hardware power and optimization between internal components that do not look out of place in comparison with stationary workstations. There are countless aspects to consider before a purchase of this type, tests and comparisons to be made, as well as several advantages (and some disadvantages) that we will illustrate later.

Buying Guide for Gaming Laptop
Seven things to remember before buying a gaming laptop
1. The video card is the most important part of the gaming machine
The quality of the video card determines whether the computer is a gaming machine or not. The laptop must have either Nvidia's Geforce or AMD's Radeon as the graphics card to play games that require little solitaire. Our test equipment includes three different Geforce models from the Geforce GTX 900 series released in 2014. Of these, the most modest 950M is enough for more modest use, while the most powerful 980M is a real horror with which all current games work well. New GTX 1000 series graphics cards have also hit stores this fall. Our test machines do well, but if only the best works, you should look for a laptop with a GTX 1080M graphics card instead.
2. Also remember the processor, memory, and ssd disk
After the video card, the most important things in gaming are a powerful processor, enough memory and a fast ssd disk. Intel i5 and i7 series processors are recommended for gaming. It's a good idea to have at least 8 gigabytes of memory, but 16 gigabytes makes use smoother. Any ssd disk is good, but the bigger the better. Every laptop we test has the right parts for these.
3. You need a gaming mouse
With a laptop, a touchpad is usually used instead of a mouse. It’s enough for browsing and decorating, but especially fast games need a separate mouse. Placing a good gaming mouse is worth it. It guarantees a precise feel, lots of useful features, good design and comfortable materials at your fingertips. The most important thing is that the mouse fits well in your own hand. So try your mice at the store or with a friend before you buy, if possible.
4. A separate keyboard is an advantage
In a laptop, the keyboard is better suited for gaming than a touchpad. Getting a separate keyboard is worth it, especially if you’re aiming for a race or planning to play in the tube for long periods of time. This way the wrist is not strained when leaning against the edge of the laptop. Like a mouse, high-quality keyboards are also made for players. A good gaming keyboard travels conveniently with your laptop to online gaming events and other places you want your games to go.
5. The headphones complete the whole
Gaming laptops usually have more powerful sound reproduction than basic laptops. Many models have a subwoofer at the bottom, and the machine has at least reasonable speakers. Despite this, good headphones crown the experience. They also give other people peace of mind from the often quite offensive soundscape of games. Headphones with a microphone are a must-have accessory, especially for online games.
6. The battery of the gaming machine is heavy, but the games drain it quickly
The cutting-edge technology used to the extreme by spectacular games consumes a lot of electricity. Although gaming laptops are packed with sturdy batteries, they easily drain in the middle of a game. Each test device only achieved less than an hour of heavy game performance before the battery ran out. Remember that when planning your trips. If the travel device does not have an electrical outlet, the laptop may not provide game entertainment other than the beginning of the trip. In something and browsing the web, the battery lasts much longer.
7. A powerful gaming laptop completely replaces the desktop
These machines are undeniably expensive compared to basic laptops, and especially the sensible Asus ROG with the most powerful graphics card can seem incredibly expensive. However, such a power machine meets practically all the needs of the user. The gaming machine can do everything you want from a computer.
